Hello, I am Havva! I graduated from a fully funded programme as a psychologist from Halic University in Turkey in 2017.
Between 2017 and 2020, I worked actively with children and families across different age groups in nurseries and within my own consultancy practice, providing psychological and emotional support through play-based and child-centred approaches.
In 2020, my journey brought me to London, where I encountered Play Therapy UK (PTUK) and began my professional training in therapeutic play. I completed my certification training in the UK, and I am currently a PTUK and BPS Accredited Therapeutic Play Practitioner.
My background as a psychologist brings an additional depth to my play therapy work. I combine psychological understanding with creative, non-directive play therapy to support children’s emotional expression, regulation, and resilience. This dual perspective allows me to work thoughtfully with both the child’s inner world and their wider emotional environment.
I am also registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) as a Graduate Member, and I am currently in the final stage of qualifying as a Play Therapist.
My training and theoretical studies are complete, and I am awaiting the submission of my final professional portfolio, with full qualification expected in March.
I believe that play is a child’s natural language. My work is grounded in creating a safe, accepting, and trusting space where children can explore their feelings, experiences, and relationships at their own pace.
I support children who experience:
Anxiety and worries
Emotional regulation difficulties
Friendship and social challenges
Family changes and transitions
Loss, trauma, and difficult life events
